Hey… how are you?Sometimes there’s so much I want to say to you, but I never quite know how to let it reach you. The words come, but they don’t stay long enough for me to hold onto them. They end up like all the letters I never sent.I still don’t know how to say everything I feel in Chinese. Maybe I never will. But I think music understands the things I can’t explain—so I tried to leave them there instead. This is my first Chinese EP. It’s called The Letter I Never Sent. The first track is Jade. There’s something about you I can’t quite read. The more I try to understand you, the more I realize how much I don’t know—and how much I want to. You make me curious… and a little nervous in a way I don’t fully understand. I wrote down all the questions I wanted to ask you, but I never found the courage to fold the letter, let alone send it.Maybe I’m still waiting for the right words.Or maybe I’m just waiting for you.The second track, Lone Ranger, came from a different place. It’s about being lost—about not knowing where you’re going, or who you’re writing for anymore. Sometimes I catch myself writing things I thought were meant for you… only to realize they were always meant for me. Letters with no address, no destination—just something to keep me company while I keep moving. The third track is Cassette. It’s for a night that’s already gone, but somehow still feels close. The things we said, the silence between them, the music in the background—I keep replaying it all in my head, like an old tape that never quite wears out. And somewhere along the way, I think I finally understood what I was trying to say.So… I decided to send the letter. Not all at once, not perfectly—but piece by piece, through these songs. If time passes, I hope you don’t forget me.If you do, I hope at least the music stays with you a little longer. These songs aren’t perfect. But they’re the closest I’ve come to telling you the truth. So maybe…before the letter ever reaches you—you’ll hear it.— Caelan
