Live At the Rookery in Juneau, Alaska

George Kuhar grew up beyond the suburbs of Austin Texas amongst the deer and fireflies. Raised on a healthy diet of Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson he entertained thoughts of entering the priesthood as a teenager. After ten years of navigating the Austin music scene via rockabilly and bar rock George forged on a vision quest in the remoteness of south east Alaska. It was there he was held hostage by some guy named Chuck, self proclaimed the world's greatest gospel singer and a drunk. Together they consumed an inhuman amount of Alaskan beer and Chuck delivered some of the most amazing gospel music to ever fall upon human ears. After George's escape Chuck's words echoed in his mind for years to come" I only sing my songs. I only sing gospel!"
