Blues In Time

Alto Saxophonist Paul Desmond will be forever remembered as a mainstay of the Dave Brubeck Quartet from 1951 to 1967, during which time he composed and played on that most unlikely of hit tunes 'Take Five'. This composition originally appeared on the group's 'Time Out' album, recorded in 1959, and immediately found favour with its 5/4 time signature, beautifully negotiated by Desmond's light and lyrical saxophone.
